This lovely wire-wrapped pendant is made with a polished Petoskey stone cabochon and natural, gem-quality, faceted aquamarine, with aquamarine spherical beads, set in oxidized Sterling silver wire. The wire was oxidized naturally with egg yolk, then coated with clear lacquer to resist tarnish and for ease of care. This gorgeous, handcrafted piece, which comes suspended on an 18" Sterling silver chain. This is a large pendant, measuring 57x35x25mm (2.2" x 1.4" x 1.0") and is sure to attract compliments wherever you choose to wear it. Every Petoskey stone piece is unique so each pendant is one of a kind.

Petoskey stone is fossilized coral ( Hexagonaria percarinata ) which inhabited the ancient shallow seas of northwest Michigan and it's upper peninsula more than 350 million years ago. Petoskey stones formed later on by glaciation; plucking bits of the fossilized coral from the bedrock and depositing them throughout the region.

Your pendant will ship in a lovely gift box with insurance and international tracking included. A fossil information card will also be included with this piece.

*American quarter and Canadian toonie (coins) are shown for scale and will not be included with the jewelry.
