Seymchan Pallasite Meteorite Wire-Wrapped Pendant Necklace in Tarnish-Resistant Sterling Silver with Swarovski Crystal -PMPSS23

From deep space to the palm of your hand! This gorgeous handcrafted pendant was made with a slice of the Seymchan pallasite meteorite, wrapped in genuine Sterling silver wire and sparkling Swarovski crystals. The entire surface of the pendant was coated in clear lacquer to preserve the finish and resist tarnish. This pendant, measures 39x26x14mm (1.5" x 1.0" x 0.6") and comes suspended on an 18" Sterling silver chain. This is truly a one-of-a-kind piece and there will never be another like it!

Pallasite meteorites are composed of an iron-nickel matrix with olivine crystal inclusions (of peridot quality) scattered throughout. Researchers once thought that pallasites originated at the core-mantle boundaries of differentiated asteroids that were later shattered by impacts with other bodies. More recently, it was proposed that these are generated by the collisions of asteroids themselves. The Seymchan pallasite was first discovered in 1967 at a brook-bed flowing into the Hekandue River (a left tributary of the river of Jasachnaja River) of the Magadan district in Russia.

Your pendant will arrive in a lovely gift box and ship securely in a padded envelope with tracking direct from my studio to your chosen destination. Makes a great gift for the space enthusiast in your life!
